Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

CYF aims to specifically champion the rights and needs of children, youth, and families, focusing on policies that provide free healthcare, education, childcare, and affordable housing to support these demographics.

While we are ambitious in our advocacy for children, youth, and families, we are also realistic about our pathway to influence. Our immediate goal is to gain representation in the federal senate, where we can champion our core causes effectively without the immediate pressure of becoming a major party.

While both CYF and the Greens share a commitment to social justice and environmental sustainability, CYF places a specific emphasis on the needs of children, youth, and families. Our focus is on creating foundational changes in healthcare, education, childcare, and housing to directly support these groups.

Comprehensive free services: While the Greens advocate for increased access and affordability in healthcare and education, CYF’s commitment to making these services completely free.

Balanced Approach to Environmental Policies: While the Greens place a strong emphasis on environmental protection and climate change as central pillars of their platform, CYF advocates for balanced policies that consider economic impacts and job creation, positioning itself as recognising the need for environmental action that also supports economic prosperity and stability.

Pragmatic Approach to Capitalism: CYF understands the complexities of a capitalist economy, focusing on pragmatic solutions that address social welfare within the current economic framework. This means acknowledging the role of markets and private enterprise in driving innovation and growth while advocating for policies that ensure social equity and support for children, youth, and families.
